Special conditions for goods transport insurance.
Coverage: Protects against loss or damage to insured goods due to risks inherent in transport.
- Policyholder/Insured: Applies to the policyholder, their customers, and cargo generators.
- Insured route: Covers “warehouse-to-warehouse” routes, in line with current INCOTERMS.
Types of coverage:
- Clause A: All risks.
- Clause B: Used goods.
- Clause C: Perishable goods with special conditions (refrigeration, freezing, heating).
- Additional clauses: Extended stay (warehouses), errors & omissions in customs procedures, non-contractual civil liability, and legal assistance.
Insured limits: $500,000 for ground transportation and up to $1,200,000 for air/sea transportation. Additional expenses and loss of profits up to 20%.
Deductibles: Variable depending on coverage (from USD 50 to 15% of the minimum loss USD 500).
Insurance cost: Calculated according to risk, accident history, and transport conditions.
Exclusions: Shipments that violate security protocols and countries under international sanctions.
